The project in brief:

What is human society ready to pay to have climate engineering available at its fingertips? Given the nature and uncertainty concerning the technologies involved, the answer to this question is far from clear. What is also not clear is how such technological options impact on the incentives for countries to participate in international efforts to reduce CO2 emissions. These are just two of the fascinating questions that economists seek to answer as part of the research project “The Governance of Climate Engineering”.
